During my time with SmartBug Media, I had the pleasure of working with a number of wonderful clients including Detroit Labs, a digital innovation studio based in the Motor City. They were one of the first accounts I took on after my on-boarding and they were a challenging but fun client. My first task was to design an updated e-book template that was simple and modern, but also incorporated some of their unique brand shapes and colors. Finding the balance between modern and more whimsical was a challenge but I found a nice balance and the team was very happy with the updated template. After setting the tone with the updated e-book template, the rest of the assets I worked on for them pulled in similar elements to create cohesive branding throughout all of their touch points.
